Hi everyone,

I've been using VLC for years but recently noticed it struggles a bit when playing 4K HDR files on my laptop. The playback is slightly choppy even though my hardware should handle it fine.

I've already tried enabling hardware acceleration in the settings but it didn't make much difference. Is this a known issue with certain codecs or is there a better open source media player for high resolution playback?

Would love any suggestions!
