CppDOM 1.2.0 has been released. Relative to 1.0.3, the big difference with this version is that SCons 2.0 is now the minimum required version for building the library. There have also been some API documentation improvements. The source for this release can be downloaded here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/xml-cppdom/files/ -Patrick -- Patrick L. Hartling Senior Software Engineer, Priority 5 http://www.priority5.com/ |

Version 1.0.1 of CppDOM has been released. This fixes a potential infinite recursion error at run time caused by implicit construction of cppdom::Attribute from any type that does not have an overload of operator<<. Basically, if you have seen mysterious crashes only when cppdom/Attribute.h is included, then this release fixes that. You just need to build and install CppDOM 1.0.1, rebuild your code that uses CppDOM, and you will be all set. The source for this release can be downloaded here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/xml-cppdom/files/ Thanks to Carsten Neumann for tracking this down and submitting the patch! -Patrick -- Patrick L. CppDOM 0.7.9 has been posted to SourceForge. This release fixes several b= ugs discovered in the 0.7.8 build, most of which were on Mac OS X. No changes= have been made to the C++ source code. The source can be downloaded from the following link: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=3D52718&package_id=3D= 46909&release_id=3D521449 For the moment, there are no Windows binaries for this release since they= would be no different than the 0.7.8 builds (except for cppdom/version.h)= =2E Windows builds will be posted if there is a demand for them, however. CppDOM 0.7.8 has been posted to SourceForge. This release has several important changes relative ot the 0.6 series. They are as follows: * Headers are installed into a versioned directory to allow for parallel CppDOM installations. * The use of pkg-config has been replaced by Flagpoll (visit https://realityforge.vrsource.org/view/FlagPoll/WebHome for more information), also to allow for parallel CppDOM installations. * All platforms now use SCons for building the libraries. * Improved capabilities for cppdom::OptionRepository. The source and binaries for Windows can be downloaded from the following = link: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=3D52718&package_id=3D= 46909&release_id=3D519203 Note that the Windows x64 build includes both the 32- and 64-bit versions= of the libraries. Several builds of the CppDOM 0.6.6 release have just been posted on SourceForge. The changes in this relate exclusively to non-Windows platfo= rms: 1. Fixed bad paths in cppdom-config as installed by the cppdom-devel RPM 2. Added a Flagpoll .fpc file for CppDOM for use instead of cppdom-config (for more information about Flagpoll, see https://realityforge.vrsource.org/view/FlagPoll/WebHome) No Windows builds have been made for this release since there are no chan= ges to the C++ source to cppdom/version.h. -Patrick --=20 Patrick L. Several builds of the CppDOM 0.6.5 release has just been posted on SourceForge. The changes in this relate exclusively to Windows: 1. Added support for automatic linking. Define CPPDOM_AUTO_LINK to link against the appropriate debug or release build of the static library. Define CPPDOM_DYN_LINK to link against the appropriate debug or release build of the dynamic library. 2. Added support for Visual C++ 8.0 and Windows XP x64 Edition. -Patrick --=20 Patrick L. Several builds of the CppDOM 0.6.4 release has just been posted on SourceForge. This release has a fairly important bug fix for compile-time= errors seen related to the declarations of cppdom::NodePtr and cppdom::DocumentPtr. Aron Bierbaum discovered a bug when using 'cppdom-config --basedir' from CppDOM 0.6.2 on 64-bit architectures. We fixed it, and there is now a 0.6= =2E3 release available for download. I posted the 0.6.1 release of CppDOM yesterday. It fixes just a couple of= minor bugs relative to 0.6.0. Among those is a fix for a build failure wi= th GCC 4.1. Even if the SCons build were supported on Windows, I am positive that it doesn't know how to deal with the use of STLPort. I doubt that the SCons build supports the use of STLPort on any platform. -Patrick -- Patrick L. Hartling | VP Engineering, Infiscape Corp. PGP: http://tinyurl.com/2oum9 | http://www.infiscape.com/ |

Hi, I'm trying to install cppdom on windows but I'm experiencing some problems. I can't find any documentation (for windows) on how to install it except the readme file that talks about scons. I'm able to build the .lib and .dll files in the folder lib with Visual Studio .NET 2003 but when i'm using the command scons I obtain a lot of errors. I don't know if it's important but I use STLPort when building the lib with VC7. These are the errors I'm obtaining when using the scons command: C:\Documents and Settings\BOUJAC00\Bureau\cppdom-0.3.3>scons scons: Reading SConscript files ...
