  Log:
  Merged Revision 1.9 from the HEAD branch.  It's simply too much trouble
  trying to deal with DLLs on Windows that all have the same name but may be
  compiled differently.  If the name of the DLL identifies how it was built,
  it's much more manageable (speaking relatively, of course).
