Attributes are an essential part of an XML document. Currently XMLCopyEditor only supports the editing of attributes marked as #REQUIRED in the DTD (and equivalent in schemas). Support for adding, editing, and removing attributes from elements is critical for an editor to be used for real-life documents.

Please can we have an attribute pane for all attributes on the current context element, in the same way that there is a pane for child element types?

I am no longer a programmer (except in XSLT2 and LaTeX) but I am prepared to make some time available for specification and documentation if that will be of use.
