Always.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Instead of a single converted file for each selection, there are 2 converted files output.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
XLD 141.0, Mac 10.8.2 (developer preview)

As far as I've tested on 10.8.1, it works without problem. Note that when you choose multiple formats for the output format option, it is an expected behavior.
And...
m4a is ALAC or AAC, which one?
How about the progress bar? 2 bars appear for each file?
What happens when converting less than 10 files?
