TheSin wrote: > here is my first patch, just build stuff, I'll send the multi def thing > as well which might not be how you want to fix it, but it how I got it > to work. thanks for these. just commited. i made a new file for the globals. now looking forward for a libxine-ruby1.8 package for darwin, this would be really cool =) to give you a quick update: stephen birch (who is willing to maintain the package for debian/i386) and i agreed, that the core-api should be packaged as libxine-ruby1.8 to avoid confusion among the users. the core api are all classes in the module 'Xine'. the higher-level stuff may be packaged later or may be added to the core-api if it's stable enough and if it makes sense. the current goal is to keep the core-api as small and as clean as possible and cover all the non-deprecated parts of the xine-lib-api. libxine-ruby1.8 will then hopefully become the standard ruby-binding for xine. now, i'm going to fix the samples, apps and documentation to release xiron 0.1.9. you and stephen then may test this release and we should discuss the packaging details (inclusion of docs, samples etc.). with the release of xine 1.0.1, i'll make a xiron 0.2.0. at this time, stephen wants to make his package available for i386. this package will then depend on xine-1.0.1. would be cool to have darwin-packages as well then. :) RY Stefan |
