Owl Mountain Software has released a pre-alpha version of a Mud that demonstrates various J2EE tools, the latest non-blocking I/O in JDK 1.4, and the power of using Java Swing for Dynamic HTML.
The base philosophy of the Xiris Mud project is to provide developers and fantasy gaming enthusiasts with a sandbox for exploring better games and state-of-the-art Java technology.
The latest version of MyXiris contains support
for multiple databases and a number of bug fixes.

I have just released MyXiris 0.2.0, a wizard application for building J2EE components from existing legacy databases. The component framework is written in Java and templated with XSL stylesheets.
The current release allows you to generate EJB components using existing legacy databases. The prototype application is a book exchange called "xmedbook" that allows users to place bids on books through a web site.
