Indeed, the patch I sent broke other things so didn't go in.
Unfortunately I subsequently forgot about it, I now consider myself
reminded to do something about it :)

I've attached the patch. I'm trying to resolve the issue permanently at 
present.

Isn't this the same patch I send to the list? If you want to know if
it works, it does.

Hi Dirk,

I've attached what I think is the correct fix for the problems you were 
seeing. Can you test it for me? You will need to revert to the cvs version of 
video_out_vidix.c.
