Well, the time has come to start thinking about the way we are going to do the configuration for Xie. I've had several thoughts, but the one that makes the most sense to me is a simple console that will allow you to view and change options from the command line, and then graphical front ends can be used to execute commands. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. I'm hoping this method will allow for easy cross platform compiling.
Okay, the SF file release system is just being a pain, so I've just uploaded the new release to our webspace. It's accesable at http://xiest.sourceforge.net/xie0.0.2-banana.zip
Anirban and I have been working feverishly to get a new release out, and so we have... You may have noticed that I have put out a request for a web server expert, who can help us move foward from here. There's now a Linux binary included, although it's not up to date with the Win32 code.
The release will be uploaded soon, once I've fixed and commented a bit more of the code.
I need all the team members (and anyone else interested in helping) to start sending in suggestions for functions that should be written. Once this has been done, we can start concurrent development of functions and the parser.
Okay, there has been a code re-write. The lexer is done, and the parser will be on it's way once I get my head around Bison. Anyone who wants to help can do so by sending in suggestions for functions/features that a good scripting language needs.
