Category: plugin-email Group: None >Status: Closed Resolution: None Priority: 4 Private: No Submitted By: John (vombatus) Assigned to: John (vombatus) Summary: Problematic PST files cause DPR to hang Initial Comment: I have a couple of jobs though DPR to process consisting of a number of pst files (~200 and ~169). When running the jobs, some pst files fail normalisation (in the same way as normalisation failure for other types of files - the error count is incremented and something is written to the "error reason" column of DPR.) However, jobs are hanging for a very long time with nothing happening (ie stuck on 'Normalising foo.pst. processed 23 of 169 records. 7 error(s)'.) The DPR console shows nothing amiss. If I try to normalise foo.pst directly with xena, again, it hangs indefinitely. Individual messages from inside the pst files seem to be appearing OK in the TEMP directory. The (xena) console shows that some files are normalising. Using readpst to explode foo.pst (with the -r - S options) appears to work properly. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Allan Cunliffe (acunliffe) Date: 2011-01-19 11:59 Message: Testing Xena Stable branch 5.0.0 - Linux Fedora 14 and Windows 7 (32-bit) I have just tested this with 3 pst files. All 3: * passed normalisation * could be viewed * could be exported. I've closed this bug. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: John (vombatus) Date: 2011-01-18 12:28 Message: Not recently - I cant remember the last time I processed a batch of pst files - probably when this bug was raised. No pst files to normalise in the near future ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Daniel Black (grooverdan) Date: 2011-01-18 12:12 Message: has this happened recently? Are samples available? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Justin Waddell (jwaddell) Date: 2009-11-16 14:52 Message: Would probably be worth testing this again with the new version of DPR, and with readpst also updated. Unfortunately I don't have copies of the files that caused the problem. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=577089&aid=2041224&group_id=85722 |
