    Hi All,

I used Xena to convert a PST File (Outlook) to XML.
It worked fine, but Xena didn't convert accented characters like 'ã' or 'ç' properly. They were replaced by question marks.

Is there any way to solution it?

    Thanks in advance.

    Ricardo

Hello again Ricardo. I have identified an issue with passing through the encoding that a message is using which I believe may be the cause of this issue. I have not yet been able to create a fix for this. Once I have I will get back to you so that we can confirm that it works for you.

    Regards,
    Terry

      Hi Terry,

Actually I'm looking for a tool to convert pst to XML, and it's important to convert these characters.

But this job isn't urgent (yet).

Do you have any idea of time to fix it?

      Thanks so much

      Ricardo

I have been looking at this today and I think it will probably take a few weeks to fix although it is difficult to tell at this stage.

        Regards,
        Terry

          Hello Ricardo,

I have created a fix for this issue. Please see the bug ticket:

          https://sourceforge.net/p/xena/bugs/386/

Note that I have attached a new email plugin file to this tracker. This has yet to be tested very thoroughly but you can test against some of your own pst files to confirm that this fixes the issue.

          Regards,
          Terry
