Yeah thankfully I started using Qihoo Total Security ever since it started getting stellar reviews at AV-Comparatives and AV-Test and with it's 5 point engine protection it has never failed to protect me :) Moreover it's free.
Media grabber not working in youtube (i have install ffmeg and browser integration also active) but working well in dailymotion. Even idm and EG cant bypass the isp restrictions but xdm did it (perhaps due to xdm using proxy)

Adding to my previous posts, don't make Desktop as the default download directory. Please implement category wise download folder locations like IDM and EagleGet according to file extensions specified.

please dont be shocked with our sudden request (jackuars & I) active in EG forum since the download manager in development version 1.X and our interest is to keep healthy competition between download manager especially free one.
My personal opinion there is need competition exist between high potential download manager which will lead to stronger one among them arise. i not taking any side but i personally eagerly to wait who wil be the one become the best among this download manager in the future
Currently in my list i think EagleGet, Download Ninja and Xtream Download Manager as the download manager with high potential to rock the world. Of course this only my opinion but XDM with its current resume capability could become popular download manager in the future :)

I haven't tested Xtreme Download Manager 5.0.74 Beta thoroughly but for now I haven't had any issues.
But- I like the old GUI very much and I would be grateful if you keep it as an option although it might not be the default GUI.

Sorry guys for the delay.
XDM 5 for linux is almost ready (It will also be the first working version for OS X as well).
When I am done with tesing it on different linux versions, XDM 5 beta will be released.
If every thing goes well I will be able to relase it this weekend.

You can use XDM with proxy with little configuration
1. Take a note of the proxy settings that you use to connect to internet.
2. Goto XDM menu-> settings-> proxy and enter that proxy address.
3. Now perform browser integration available from XDM.
Now your browser integration should work.
Let me know if u have any issue

You may try this:
disable/remove the extension, but set your proxy to 127.0.0.1:9614 in your firefox/browser
(Do not use http://127.0.0.1:9614/proxy.pac)
Also when setting proxy for your browser/system make sure you only use http proxy to 127.0.0.1 and leave https proxy as it was.

I forgot to mention that I'm using Chrome. I didn't test on Firefox.
I m using firefox so we could do complete testing on different browser preferred by us
Subra, I couldn't find the option to set max.simulataneous downloads to 1. Please provide this option in the Connections tab of Settings.
Also in the New Download dialog box, the file size isn't shown, unless you click download. Do provide this option.

To Use/install XDM on OS X ( Instructions are also available in the background image of the DMG file):
Can you also explain in detail about the other points (if possible screenshots) so that I can enhance/fix the issues.
please use the latest XDM 2016 and install proper browser extensions, from browser integration dialog
