Xchat version 2.0.8c, running on Windows XP
Professional with SP2-rc1. Other programs running
include; Gaim v0.78 and Winamp 5.03a.

System information; AMD Athlon XP 1.75GhZ, 1MB DDR.

Upon double clicking on the server tab, Xchat had
become locked allowing, making the server tab the only
active tab. Right click was possible on server
tab, "close tab" was selected, freezing the rest of
Xchat, requiring the termination of the process.

Not sure that it matters, but IRC network was EFNet.

I can't reproduce any such problem, so it's up to users to
    debug it themselves: http://xchat.org/gdb/

Try using a computer without SP2-rc1, instead a fully
patched Windows XP Pro with just SP1 and all patches upto today.

Microsoft site states: "WARNING! This technical preview is
unsupported and is intended for testing purposes only. Do
not use in production environments." (From
    http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/winxppro/maintain/sp2wuins.mspx
    )

Also as a side note XChat 2.0.9 on my Windows XP Pro SP1
    does not do this.
