The "/" is not mounted after the SLES 11 SP4 diskless node is up and running, we are not seeing functionality problems for now, the easy "workaround" is to run "mount /" after the system is up and running, will investigate more.
Base on our study that this is only a DISPLAY issue that 'mount' and 'df' cannot show the entry of root filesystem. But the root file system has been correctly mounted. So we think this issue does not impact the functionality of the sles11.4 diskless system.
the failure of "mount /" is caused by the change of /etc/init.d/boot.rootfsck from sles11.3 to sles11.4:
