Dear xCAT Team,
after using:
nothing happens. There is no error message either.
I am using p7 LPARs managed by an HMC.
What did I make wrong?
Object name: xCATnode01

Please contact me, if you need further information.

can you run
rcons xCATnode01
from another window to see if there is any activity at all on the node from the rnetboot?
Do other power operations work for the node?
rpower xCATnode01 stat
does the LCD value for the lpar change at all?
rvitals xCATnode01 lcds
do you see any activity in the management node /var/log/messages for the node?
(i.e. dhcp request/response, tftp, etc.)
Hello,
here the output of the commands:
rcons xCATnode01
[Enter `^Ec?' for help]
[no, root@localhost is attached]
[read-only -- use ^E c ? for help]
The commands rpower and rvitals doesnt work.
tail /var/log/messages

There have been dhcp activities a few days before. But for now they disappeared, although dhcpd is running.
Is there a problem with the LPARs managed by my hmc maybe?
You mentioned the commands rpower and rvitals doesnt work. Is there any error returned or nothing?
Is there any node working fine? If so, will you pls show me the node definition for that node?
Can you show me the node definition for tce-hmc3? Can you ssh to that hmc from your xcat node successfully?
Hi Er Tao,
Linda Mellor helped me to fix this issue.

Thank you.
