#11 Hardware recommendation

Currently, I have a Xilinx platform cable USB (DLC9G). Which can be used once after plugging it in (https://sourceforge.net/p/xc3sprog/bugs/20/ - though the person submittign the bug report might use a platform cable USB II (DLC10), as the hardware used is not stated explicitly).

Is there any recommendation on what hardware to get that works well with xc3sprog?
