The XBRLAPI is not yet an XBRL validation tool. That functionality MAY come, or other validation software MAY become able to operate on the data stores created by the XBRLAPI but to date the XBRLAPI is more an API that you could write a validator with. Take a look at, for example, True North, which you can find at www.decisionsoft.com if you want a validator.
