Thanks - I figured it was this and sure enough this makes all the difference. Another question somewhat related: I have the ICS in Win2k configured to allow on-demand dialling so I don't have to run across to the Win2K box to force a dial. This works well, except for during bootup of Debian on the XBox where it obviously does some sort of internet query which forces a dialup - this is quite frustrating and I'd like it to not do this if at all possible. I've been trying to figure out what is causing this but no luck as yet. Any ideas?
