Sorry folks did I forgot to provide the solution.

I eventually got this all to work by - wait for it

Reading the instructions.

It does suggest to use kernel 2.6.7 and when used it does work.

It does not work with FC3 default 2.6.10 or 2.6.11-rc (I think 2)
