#21 USB flash drive as RAM

I mulled over the details of the software approach and
decided that i wanted to play games and have a computer
at the same time. problem is, i want to run windows
apps through wine. the xbox only has 64 mbs of ram. if
a flash drive could be hooked up, that would be
awesome! no need for soldering and stuff like that. i
understand people will want to use more ram for thier
own reasons too. any case, it will be a wonderful speed
boost. windows vista promises this will happen and so
will mac X leopard! why not the woefully short xbox?
more ram means more power and usb flash drives will do
the trick.

Mac X Leopard and Vista use USB Drives (Flash Drives, Jump Drives, etc) as Virtual RAM (Kinda like Virtual Memory in Windows 2k and XP). VirtRAM is slower than conventional RAM, so even though it is a boost in speed, it's not a lot. Anyway, it would be easier to allocate space on the Xbox HDD as VirtMem, Making the Xbox think that it has more RAM then it does (since the Xbox is a modified Win2k OS, it should be possible.)
If this works it would be a very good feature!!
