Category: Bugs Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Sebastian J. Bronner (waschtl) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) >Summary: obsolete mandir/htmldir and poor docdir specifications Initial Comment: Despite setting --mandir=<something other than /usr/man> to ./configure, the man-files are stored there. All Makefile.in's have the correct mandir specification of mandir = @mandir@ except for src/Makefile.in Automake creates that entry automatically so long as no overriding entry exists in Makefile.am. So, if you remove the mandir = $(prefix)/man from src/Makefile.am, everything should be set correctly. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Sebastian J. Bronner (waschtl) Date: 2005-08-09 23:15 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=373684 One more thing (sorry for submitting this bug report in fragments): an empty directory /usr/LessTif/doc/html/ is created because of references to html documentation with an entry in src/Makefile.am: htmldir= $(prefix)/LessTif/doc/html That (and a few other stale references to html_*) should be removed The submitted patch takes care of all three issues. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Sebastian J. Bronner (waschtl) Date: 2005-08-09 22:48 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=373684 Also (I had forgotten about this), xbae makes a /usr/Xbae directory during installation. This is specified by the docdir variable in ./Makefile.am: docdir= $(prefix)/Xbae. That should probably be changed to: docdir= $(datadir)/Xbae to match the one in doc/Makefile.am. I've attached a patch that makes these two changes. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=401980&aid=1255594&group_id=31337 |
