It would be nice if one can change the volume while
the sound is muted. I'm using 2.4.0pre0.

Sorry, I try to explain it in more detail:
When I press 'a' in xdtv, then I mute the sound. After
this, I can not use the Num-Plus, and Num-Minus keys to
adjust the volume, and xdtv just displays "Volume: Muted"
in the OSD. I have to unmute xdtv, and then I can adjust
the volume. So if I mute the TV because a channel gets too
loud all of a sudden, then I don't have the chance to lower
the volume, and I must unmute it (there comes the loudness)
    and then lower the volume.

he wants to modify the volume while it's muted.
I think it was already like he wants in 2.3.3
    I don't think it's ergonomical.
It currently is like this: if volume is changed, the channel is automatically unmuted.

    Catapro,
    You're right.
May be adding a single action to have a "zero sound" could solve his problem.
of course "zero sound" is not the same as mute sound even if the result is no sound.

    seems like overkill to me.

We could do it his way, it would be more versatile, but it'll be harder to implement software muting that I'm doing :-)
