If a frame is received via a Igate (3rd party frame) it still has the
ability to trigger the Bandopening alarm which is a bit odd in that if a
message comes through an Igate from afar then often an Igate puts the
corresponding Posit to RF for the remote station.
A simple check of the frames nature (3rd party or not) before qualifying as
real DX would make this excellent feature more useful at my QTH otherwise I
will never enable it.
This could not be too hard to include making the Band opening audio alarm actually
show up real propagation as it happens.
I am using xastir 1.93
This is fixed in current CVS repository. Third party stations were not being tested for audio alerts.

An error in the code in which a boolean "AND" was used instead of a bitwise "AND" on a set of flags is to blame for this. It was fixed in CVS on 14 August 2012, and currently is available only in CVS.
The report from gstueve on 30 April 2009 was erroneous --- the "fix" he reports was actually the addition of the incorrect logical operator, which would not have actually screened out third party traffic.
