1. drag and drop the "files" right into thunar
2. if you hit the extract button you should have a
history button (drop-down menu and you can see your
previous used folders)
3. a real progress bar instead of the little thing
4. par/par2 support
With real progress bar I mean I would like a bar, which
shows progress (1% 2% 3% ... ) and not just a bouncing bar
that shows activity.
Par/Par2 would be just another supported format. With three
functions. a) creating par/par2 files b) verify par/par2
files and c) repair par/par2 files.

This is not possible at all since the real work is done by
the zip executable and not inside Xarchiver. The zip
executable doesn't provide a percentage AFAIK. If you know
have to do this i will be welcome to implement it in Xarchiver.

Ok. I will see what I can do; in the meantime can you help
me to do that? It is quite simple to add a new type to
Xarchiver.

That's is the problem I don't know when the rar executable
advances to the next file in the archive and consequently I
can't know when to advance the GTK progress bar. One
solution could be to run several rar instances according to
the number of files contained in the archive: 10 files, 10
instances of run are issued but this is not a good style.

There must be a way since WinRAR/rarsoft has a progress bar.
Also if you run unrar in your terminal you can see everytime
unrar jumps to the next file.

Thank you for your counsel. I will keep them in mind while
developing the future releases anyway:
1) DnD works in Thunar works.
3) What do you mean for a real progress bar?
4) please give info about par/par2.
Thanks,
Giuseppe Torelli

I understand the ZiP issue, but what about rar for example.
Let's assume you have 10 Files in a rar archive.
rar, r01, r02, ... r09
You could create a progress bar that advances after every
file. Does that make sense?

Здравствуйте! (Hello!)
Спасибо за Xarchiver.
Хотелось бы видеть в следующих релизах функцию тестирования архивов (need command "Test Archive" or command "Verify Archive") для ZIP, RAR, ARJ, etc..
Спасибо.
