My system is Arch Linux x64, I'm using Xfce4 (with Thunar). When I cancel an action (compressing or decompressing), I get logged out to LightDM greeter. I can easily reproduce the bug.

There is nothing interesting in Xorg logs, no backtrace or anything. It just terminates.

And so far, I am not the only one, who encountered this problem. I've seen a thread from 2010 on Arch Linux forums about exactly same problem (it's here, if that helps).

Hi, can you please try the last version, 0.5.4 compiled from sources?

Hmm, rebuilt package from sources, issue still present.

Can't reproduce the bug while canceling a zip compression.
Please write here step by step what you do, thanks.

Ok, I forgot to mention that I'm also using Thunar Archive Plugin.
I navigate to some directory in Thunar. Then I select some large file, and select 'Create Archive' in right-click context menu. Then I click on 'Cancel' in 'Adding to archive' dialog.

Don't use it... Please, try adding the archive from Xarchiver itself and cancel the operation.

I tried to add from Xarchiver itself as you told, and I also tried using Xarchiver from command line with -d and -a.
Crash didn't occur, so I figure it's archive plugin interacting weirdly.

Brilliant. I close the bug as I didn't develop the plugin. Please try opening this bug at bugs.xfce.org, you need to register.
