The Exec key in the desktop file for xarchiver does not specify a %f field code to indicate that xarchiver can open an archive directly from the command line. The Exec key should be changed to: Exec=xarchiver %f

    I've updated the Exec key in .desktop skeleton.

    expect the changes committed in next release.

      Do The actual.patches include The requests from Stephen the xarchiver
      debian maintainer?

      If.so.I.would.release.0.5.4 in a couple of.days.

        Hi Guiseppe,

        no patch has been issued for this bug

        we have to change this in the file "xarchiver.desktop.in"

        and before releasing the new version please add patch #20 and this
        oneexplicit_extension.patchhttps://sourceforge.net/p/xarchiver/bugs/_discuss/thread/81bf13f8/4aab/attachment/explicit_extension.patch
        btw I dont give up on 0.6 version, but because of time, I progress very
        slowly !

        I hope I can work on it this summer :)
