#36 password protected rar archive

When I try to extract a "rar" archive protected with a password, xarchiver does not extract it.
The cases are 2:
1) I put the correct password, then I get this error message:
"An error occurred while accessing the archive".
2)I put the wrong password, then xarchiver and all X server freezes. I have to kill all with CTRL-ALT-backspace.
Extracting the archive with unrar works perfectly, so it seems to be a xarchiver's problem.
I'm running Slackware 13.0, the kernel is 2.6.29.6 and unrar version is 3.9.7.

Yeah, the same thing is happening to me, I am running xfce on archlinux, but i got the job done by directly using unrar in cli.
