Archive enhancement : Add zip/tar.gz for each top-level scene in archive with more than one file, to ease download and launching on mobile.

Then provide a link to “view on mobile” until such time as files can be downloaded individually.

Web browsers (X_ITE) don’t work on apple mobile phone for these scenes (see below issue for scenes), so castle might be a popular alternative.

Suggestion for an alternative encoding on an iPhone welcome.

I have zero problems navigating and viewing scenes on my (new) phone and on my (old) tablet. Everything is quite responsive, WORKSFORME.

I have also reported this similarly on Castle issue 14. The first three scenes you mention there have an exceptionally large number of Inline references and so that might take time.

No further encodings or special handling needed.

In lieu of solving this in the browser, which may or may not work for some people, I think the best option as a workaround is for the end user to zip up files on their local system (requiring a copy of the repository from sourceforge), which requires people to know how to zip a folder. Since there are literally hundreds of URLs in the examples, this becomes infeasible for the casual user, I myself don’t know how to create zips on my phone, but my first idea would be to zip a folder. The problem is downloading the “HumanoidAnimation/Bones” folder to the iPhone, grabbing the folder hierarchy at the appropriate place from sourceforge. Recommending a good SVN app for iPhone becomes relevant.

Until this error becomes evidently an Apple or X_ITE issue, non-web solutions should be considered. Which is why I suggested a tar.gz or zip option for the archive. Obviously, we hope for a quick solution in Castle, perhaps we should suggest donating hardware to the Castle project.
