Since I can't comment there [it would be nice if you would stop doing that so I don't have to make new ones every time I need to say something] making a new one.

>The problem is your cheap N64 adapter and its drivers. (!!!)
No it isn't, it didn't have a driver. I just plugged it in and it worked. It works just great with VisualBoyAdvance and Project64, so... the problem isn't my adapter!!

>hint: open the file named x360ce.ini, change the setting "Log" to "1"
Nobody ever told me to do this. What does this do, exactly?

>The problem is not the x360ce software, so quit making issue reports.
Lmfao, yes it is, and I just proved it.

>Furthermore, you paid nothing for this software. The devs owe you no support. You are entitled to nothing. Support is not their job. If anything, development is their hobby.
However, you ought to know that developing software inevitably comes with problems, and you must be prepared to address these problems. Not assume the problem is with the person's hardware. Because this time, it isn't. Take responsibility for your own shit. If you aren't prepared to help people when they have problems with your software, don't be a programmer.

Also, I am clearly not the only person with D-pad issues on this application. I've googled.

>They have no responsibility to hold your hand ("Support") as you take your first baby steps to a normal level of human understanding.
I'm sorry, understanding what that input thing or whatever it was isn't baby steps. If it were, I would have figured it out on my own, not have to ask for fucking support.

>Finally, I am forced to question your judgment as to your love of the N64 controller. It apparently was designed for individuals with three hands.
No, you are not. You don't get to judge, you just help. You prefer some other controller? Cool, that's your choice -- whatever controller it is probably isn't my choice. I used the N64 controller more than any other growing up, so it's what I like, what I'm used to, and what I can button-mash with the fastest.

Also, apparently you like to control your character with both the stick and the d-pad at the same time! Guess that's why you think you need three hands to use an N64 controller. Can't imagine how confusing platform games must be for you. Do you need my help getting past Green Hill Zone?

    Remember comprehending this?

"Please attach a log file created with Log=1 setting in x360ce.ini file."

Enabling "Log" in the ini will create a log file, which you then attach to the issue report. Make sense?

    >Also, I am clearly not the only person with D-pad issues on this application. I've googled.

Link us to what you found when you "googled".

Look why don't you start a thread at the forum? It is at http://forums.ngemu.com/forumdisplay.php?f=140 . Basically posting multiple issue reports for the same issue is going to get you nowhere, and shouldn't be done. Also remember that the x360ce project is voluntary, nobody is getting paid, so to demand help is a bit unreasonable.

I haven't read through all your problems, but the best advise might to buy a PC controller. I bought a Saitek one for £7 and it works like a dream with x360ce, no issues as such, so I haven't had to bother to buy a x360 controller.

But buy a x360 controller if you don't want to use x360ce; x360ce is not perfect, it doesn't work for every game and gamepad.

If you don't use the x360 controller you can run into problems with XInput-only games (i.e. loads of games), even with x360ce.

It tells x360ce to write a log -- that is, to write information about the stuff it's doing step by step. Which is necessary for the developers to know what's going on.

Okay. I did that. Where's the log file? I don't see any new files.

Not sure if any of this is helpful at all because I can't understand half of it, but it looks like I'm not the only person that's had D-pad problems.

I took a screenshot of my settings earlier. http://i.imgur.com/VBJVvhL.png Hopefully it will help and maybe we'll get somewhere for the first time tonight instead of me fighting my controller. It'd be really nice, since I have to fight my controller enough on my PS2 and Wii.
