I'm new to this BASIC. Just getting started with it. But I'm hoping it will be my new love.
Can it be the one common language that I can use on both WIndows and Android?
That would be nice. Certainly what I've been looking for.

I've played with DeReBASIC for a year now. It IS useful, but it is also rather bizzar as BASICS go.
    SO, enter X-11...

I want to port some of my oldies to Andorid. But it's so much more pleasant to work on a laptop.
    (Win 7 64 bit)

Gettting the hang of it. Running into the normal problems with any new language.
But so far, I like it a lot.

My "problem", the reason I came to ask about...

Running the interpreter in a DOS window.
Everything is fine until my program terminates.
THen the prompt, which WAS C:\X11> (my development folder) becomes something funky!
    (back arrow)7(back arrow)8(backarrow)[K>

    TF,W?
Did I funk somethin up ???

    Ricahrd

    Hi Richard,
welcome to X11Basic. X11Basic text output uses VT100 / ANSI escape codes. Therefor this needs to be installed for the DOS window. The X11Basic package should do this automatically, but I am not sure if it always works when you call X11Basic from a DOS window, which is already open.
You need to install a VT100 Terminal emulation permanently, or as a default for the DOS Prompt. E.g. ANSICON on windows. Unfortunately I am not a WNDOWS expert.

Since ANSICON comes with the X11-Basic package, it should work in case you open the X11-Basic-DOS-WINDOW from the menu.
