To make X11-Basic usable on an ATARI ST, it is recommended to use the VT100EMU Emulation. The package can be downloaded from here: http://www.umich.edu/~archive/atari/Telecomm/vt100emu.lzh

It installs in the AUTO Folder and replaces the internal VT52 emulation of the text screen.
