I needed to download Inkscape and after many grulling hours, finally got Xcode, Macports and xorg-server put onto my 2012 MacBook Pro updated to Mojave. I CAN get into Inkscape through the terminal ( /opt/local/bin/inkscape) but not through finder (/opt/local/bin and double click on inkscape) or through a simlink in my applications folder (ln -s /opt/local/bin/inkscape /Applications/Inkscape).
I also cannot update the theme
    (sudo port install gtk2-aurora
    sudo port install gtk-chtheme
    gtk-chtheme)
I can run that and see the differences in the preview but when I do open Inkscape, its the older theme.
I believe I have done everything correctly as x11 is in my Applications folder but I cannt open inkscape after I open the blank screen for x11... So I was wondering, how do I add inkscape to the applications shortcuts in x11 where I can customize them? I have not messed with this level of programing before, so please be super basic and detailed cause I have either missed a step and have to start over or I need a baby step by baby step walkthrough. Thank you!!!

Hm, are you sure, you have posted this in the right forum? Here it is about X11-Basic, the BASIC programming language.
