No

When creating a dialog to add an element into the model, it would be nice to move the cursor into the text field where you type something, instead of leaving the user to mouse-click or tab into the space manually. This way, frustration is reduced somewhat with the interface of the program.

As you have no Category for "User Interface", I selected Other, and I didn't know if selecting Next Major or Next Minor release was of importance, but I figure the fix to this submission would be fairly easy. Hope this still reaches you.

Edit: I should say "the first most likely insertion point" instead of just saying text field, but I think you probably understand the intent, don't you?

    Hi luckycharms,

I know exactly what you're talking about because this has bothered me since I first introduced the JFace wizards at the beginning of the project. I actually spent about two nights trying to work through this issue, but the solution I found at the time was very inelegant, so I just dropped it. It appeared to me then that the workaround was necessary because of a bug in the JFace wizard framework related to default focus. That was back in Eclipse 3.0, so by now (3.3) that issue may have been resolved, and the fix is more acceptable from a code quality perspective.

I moved this item from Feature Requests to Bugs and bumped up the priority a bit. However, as you can see from the project activity, there hasn't been much done in about six months due to real life. Thanks for your input, though.

    Cheers,
    Rusty
