 I have being using LUA_CPATH
setenv LUA_CPATH "...../lua/5.1/linux.fedora1/gcc3.3.4/?.so"
and  doing require "wx" in the scripts=20
 and it works fine=20

 I can`t remember when I found the documentation about it though :)
