Programming with wxDev-C++ / News: Recent posts

A new release is now available. This is a continuation of the chapter on C programming, so if you have no interest in this area, this release is not for you. Source code is also available to compliment this release.

The source code for the programs contained in this book have now been released within a zip file. They are all wxDevC++ projects. They have been compiled with wxWidgets 2.6.3 then Devpak created by NinjaNL. If you have this installed then there should be no problems, if there are let me know.

The first release of the book has now been uploaded. The file is a PDF file contained within a zip file. The reason for this is that trying to upload as a PDF resulted in a corrupted file.

This first release contains the whole introduction and all of chapters one and two. Chapter three is in the process of being written.

Please file bug reports for any errors you find grammatical, programming errors, inaccuracies or misconceptions. These will be attended two asap and you will recieve acknowledgement in future publications of this book.... read more

Sourceforge has accepted my request for a project space. This means that a first release of an alpha version of the book can be made.

The website should go live tomorrow on the 26th of July. The first release of the book will be this evening approximately 18.00 hours Greenwich mean time.

So far an introduction and the first two chapters have been written. Work is proceeding on the third chapter and fleshing out the table of contents. The book is being released in PDF format created using PDFCreator.
