Hi, this component descriptions seems perfect! Just a minor detail: > location: wxlatex I'd rather call the folder "latexdc" as "wx" prefix is not necessary and just "latex" seems too generic. Obviously "latexdc" makes sense if you plan to provide only a wxLatexDC class and not also other (big) latex-related utilities... what do you think? Francesco |

Would anyone have any problems with converting the DatabaseLayer repository from CVS to Subversion? Also, is the offer from the wxCode admins still valid for converting wxCode projects from CVS to SVN? (That service is appreciated.) Thanks! |

name: wxLatexDC wxversion: 2.9 category: graphics, printing language: cpp description: wxLatexDC is a device context that will generate a LaTeX2e file from graphics and text that were drawn onto it. It makes use of PSTricks (http://tug.org/PSTricks) to create Tex-compatible PostScript macros. You can create a wxLatexDC in exactly the same way as a wxSVGFileDC. At present, only a small part of the DC drawing functions have been implemented. The major advantage of using LaTeX output rather than directly writing PostScript is that typesetting can be done in LaTeX, so that graphics seemlessly integrate into documents. A positive side effect is that the PSTricks macros are more easily readable than plain PostScript. location: wxlatex cdate: 2007-12-02 id: 139 status: alpha docs: notavailable buildsys: bakefile extdep: none wiki: disabled wxport: all samples: 1 approved: 0 author: Christoph Schmidt-Hieber version: 0.1 inCVS: 0 maintainerid: 59 Maintainer SF username: clesenne Maintainer name: Christoph Schmidt-Hieber Maintainer mail address: chr...@gm... |

Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Ben (benmoores) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: wxPdfDoc - Path filling rules Initial Comment: The PDF format allows the specification of the rule for determining which parts of a polygon to fill. This is used when the path intersects itself or has one subpath that encloses another. Currently only the non-zero winding rule is supported, and is fine for most cases. The other fill method is the 'even-odd' rule (section 4.4.2 of the Adobe PDF reference sixth edition). The attached patch is a quick hack to support the even-odd rule for the shape object. It should probably be made an option in pdfproperties.h under style options and all the cases where these options used in the code updated. This is probably a low priority feature, the standard rule will be good for nearly every case. Hi all, JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) is a lightweight data-interchange format. It is easy for humans to read and write. It is easy for machines to parse and generate. It is based on a subset of the JavaScript Programming Language, Standard ECMA-262 3rd Edition - December 1999. JSON is a text format that is completely language independent but uses conventions that are familiar to programmers of the C-family of languages, including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Perl, Python, and many others. These properties make JSON an ideal data-interchange language. If you want to take a closer look on wxJSON, read the docs at: http://wxcode.sourceforge.net/docs/wxjson/ Luciano ___________________________________ L'email della prossima generazione? Hi, everything looks fine with this component! I've approved it and created the CVS repo. Please look at the maintainer's guide: http://wxcode.sourceforge.net/maintguide.php for further steps. Just give 1-2 hours to SF servers to fully propagate the new permissions... Ask for any doubt on wxcode-users (or me privately in Italian if you prefer ;)) Thanks! Here is a list of some of the fixes in the latest release of the DatabaseLayer component: * wxMemoryBuffer defaults to a buffer size of 1024. This causes an issue accurately determining the size of blobs smaller than this size. DatabaseResultSet::GetResultBlob has been changed to more accurately determine the blob size for blobs under 1024 bytes. * Added an optional parameter to GetSingleResult* functions which allows the user to request the first result record and ignore all subsequent records. The default behavior is to throw an exception if more than one record is returned. * Odbc Layer construction fix. * Add support for PostgreSQL server custom ports. * SourceForge IT #1724064 (https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1724064&group_id=51305&atid=462816) - Database layer does not show right error message (ODBC) * SourceForge IT #1726135 (https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=462816&aid=1726135&group_id=51305) - Bug in handling SQL_SUCCESS_WITH_INFO in ODBC layer * Firebird TIMESTAMP parameter fixes. * GetTables() and GetViews() should now work better on different versions of MySQL. Many of the bug fixes and enhancements for this release came from contributers other than myself. Please browse the credits.txt file in the release source to see a (hopefully) complete list of those developers that have worked to make the DatabaseLayer component useful. |

Hi, I am trying to compile (or, actually, I would love to !!) a wxWidgets/wxMathPlot project that I developed under Win. So far, I installed wxWidgets locally to avoid bad surprises, and compiled wxMathPlot and installed it globally - I guess... sort of... When I go into the samples directory and do "make" for the various examples, it works fine : they compile and the executable file works fine - more or less. However, I have no clue how to compile my own project, as I don't really know how to make... makefiles. I discovered bakefile yesterday, installed it... and so far I am still completely lost (this is my first time compiling something significant under linux). If anyone could help/advise me, that would be super great !! My personal project consists in 4 cpp files and 4 headers... and from there, I am so stuck, it's not even funny, it's pathetic ! Category: treelistctrl Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Otto Wyss (wyo) Summary: Drag from treelistctrl to another works improperly Initial Comment: Develop an application with MDIParentFrame. Add two child windows with treeListCtrl embedded in each of them. Consider, for instance, child windows names are 1 and 2 respectively. Add root to each of them and add two items namely, A and B to window 1 and X and Y to window 2. now implement a drag function so as to add the item to the window when dragged from one window to another. Now, drag A from window 1 and release mouse in window 2. A will added to the treelistctrl in window 2. Problem : Drag item A from window 1 and hover it, either over item B in the same window or on item X or item Y on the window 2. When you release the mouse on window 2, the item on which you hovered last, will be added to the window. in this case, for instance, if you have hovered over item Y, item Y would be added to the treelistctrl in window 2, whereas, the item you dragged is A. This happens because EVT_BEGIN_DRAG is being triggered, whenever you drag some item and hover over another item and as result, the particular item on which you hover, is added. This is really one big issue. And i request you kindly, a quick work around on this problem as soon as possible. P.S: i have attached a sample application ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=462816&aid=1811335&group_id=51305 |

Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: jerk (fantaz) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: [wxPlotCtrl] wxPlotCtrl won't zoom wxPlotDataCruve Initial Comment: I'm terribly sorry for double posting, this is the duplicate of 1807993 feature request, that is the feature request should be deleted. If one wants to draw points like # x y 0 60 1 60 from file (tested it on wxplotctrl_sample.exe as well) the curve is drawn, but not shown, i.e. plotctrl doesn't know how to set plot boundaries on y axis (they remain default). The same thing happens if one wants to draw a horizontal line, i.e. # x y 1000 800 1000 900 The wxPlotDataCurve's fn CalculateBoundingRect() sets m_boundingRect with zero height/width, which is fine, but then wxPlotCtrl fails to correctly display the data. One solution would be to "inflate" the bounding rect of the data curve, but then the wxPlotCtrl's CalculateBoundingRect wouldn't "zoom all" correctly more than one curve. The second solution could be to modify wxPlotCtrl's CalculateBoundingRect so that the bounding rect could be artificially inflated by the arbitrary value, 10 for example. That is: in wxplotctrl.cpp in void wxPlotCtrl::CalcBoundingPlotRect() ... Starting from Line 2442 if (rect.m_width == 0.0) { zeroWidth = true; - rect.m_x = m_defaultPlotRect.m_x; - rect.m_width = m_defaultPlotRect.m_width; + rect.m_x = rect.m_x-10; + rect.m_width = rect.m_x+20; } if (rect.m_height == 0.0) { zeroHeight = true; - rect.m_y = m_defaultPlotRect.m_y; - rect.m_height = m_defaultPlotRect.m_height; + rect.m_y = rect.m_y-10; + rect.m_height = rect.m_y+20; } Any thoughts? best regards, fantaz ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=462816&aid=1808098&group_id=51305 |

Category: any Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Langhammer (langhammer909) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: wxScintilla 1.69.2 crash on Win64 Initial Comment: Using wxScintilla with pointer definitions outside the 32bit bound cause a crash. The solution is to use uptr_t, sptr_t instead of ulong and long for WndProc, DefWndProc, wxScintilla::SendMsg and all type conversion. For example: SendMsg(...,...,(long)(const char*)buf); should be SendMsg(...,...,(sptr_t)(const char*)buf); ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=462816&aid=1803291&group_id=51305 |
