actually wxCurl is already in wxCode SVN :)

I'd really like to make the first release but I never managed to fix 
that Unicode/ANSI problem; also since this is a thing which deeply 
changed in new wx3 / upcoming wx2.9, probably it's worth doing the 
release once 2.9.0 is out and make it compatible with wx >= 2.9

I'm happy to have wxCurl move over to SVN. Even if we leave the
current history in CVS, I think the benefits of SVN are enough to
warrant the change over.

Although I don't have much experience with SVN I would agree to move my 
components from CVS to SVN.

I don't think there's any... SVN for wxCode is perfectly integrated just 
as CVS. The only drawback of (wxCode) SVN respect CVS it is that any 
developer may write everywhere (see 
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1614921&group_id=1&atid=350001)... 
but this never happened so far.

ehmm, honestly not: IIRC the last time I read the SF docs about SVN, it 
wasn't possible in wxCode context to "move" components retaining their 
history. I.e. I simply added my components (and others for the people 
which asked it to me) to SVN as new stuff.

This is unconvenient as it means I must go in the viewVC part dedicated 
to CVS to browse the history of my components before the move to SVN but 
fortunately I almost never need to do it (I prefer to put warnings/notes 
in my sources rather in the component history's comments).

for wxLua we can do a conversion without losing any history information 
simply using the SF web interface (which internally uses svnadmin) but 
for wxCode components unfortunately we can't (AFAIK)...
If you're ok with having  your component history partially in CVS and

I would like to see all of the wx projects using SVN.


Being a developer who was once comfortable with RCS, then CSV, I can
honestly say once you've used Subversion (SVN) a few times, you'll "get it"
as far as why SVN is replacing CSV. I will admit though, if you have a
CSV/RCS mindset, you will find SVN hard to grasp at first.

itself now uses SVN and has for months. I have not heard that anyone
regrets their decision and so I think maybe it's time to ask again if
there are any holdouts for CVS?

wxvidcap

    sorry for the delay with this mail but unfortunately SF cron jobs do 
not work anymore and so we manually need to check if there are new 
submissions in the wxCode db....
everything seems fine to me and I've set it as approved.

Please refer to the Maintainer's Guide (see wxCode website) for more 
info and don't hesitate to post your questions to wxcode-users mailing 
list...

I have 2 corrections about CTB - function "timer_fnc" file "Win32/timer.cpp":

1) For avoid crash during desctructor of a timer instance insert the line (the function timer_fnc can be called during destruction!)
I use the class 'timer' to start a routine. At the end routine I (re)start the timer ... recursively.
Everything is fine, but when I need to destroy the object may be a new call to timer_fnc although exitfnc no longer exists (at the moment there is no way to reset the pointer exitfnc after calling to stop().)

Solution:

unfortunately the problem is serious:

(  2007-06-13 13:43:38 - Project Shell Service  )   As of 2007-06-12 the 
cron service provided under the project shell service has been disabled. 
Ongoing systems problems have forced us to pull it offline until a 
suitable replacement can be developed. Accordingly, no estimate for when

Unfortunately yet nothing was done by SF for restoring cron job service :(

This means that when you want:
  - news on wxcode.sf.net to be updated from sf.net/projects/wxcode page
  - component websites

@John: we'll also need to check from time to time if there are pending 
submissions of new components since automatic mails won't be generated 
anymore.

I have been happily using wxSQLite3 in my application for a while now.

As I am writing the more delicate part of the database interface now I am feeling the need to be able to output the prepared SQL statement about to be executed to a debug facility in order to check a more complex syntax.

I was thinking of something like:

wxString wxSQLite3Statement::GetAsString()

Does this make sense?

Hi, I've found a case where font changes aren't propagated to the pdf document.

If I do:

setfont(fontA)
StartTransform
  setfont(fontB)
  writeText("text1")
EndTransform
StartTransform
  setfont(fontB)
  writeText("text2")
EndTransform

"text1" gets rendered using fontB, but "text2" gets rendered using fontA.

This happens because m_fontFamily doesn't get rewound to the 'fontA' when EndTransform is called. Then in pdfkernel.cpp in SelectFont the '// Test if font is already selected' test thinks the correct font is already set, and doesn't set it again.

My quick hack is just to remove that test, and that gets it going good enough for me.

SVN.

Great. I just wanted to note that the files are named dclatex.cpp and 
dclatex.h, in analogy to dcsvg.*. If that's not too confusing, I'm 
perfectly fine with latexdc.
