Hi all, We are testing a new workflow procedure at GitHub. It will build and publish beta releases of the full WSJT suite (applications WSJT-X, MAP65, QMAP, and all the usual utility programs) every Tuesday evening or early Wednesday, UTC. The first such beta release, WSJT-X 3.3.0-beta1, went live today. Installers for Windows, macOS, and Linux are available here https://github.com/WSJTX/wsjtx/releases . This web page also has a lengthy list of changes made since v3.2.0-rc1. Beta releases are intended for experienced users, especially those with particular interest in features recently added and still under active development. In the present case this applies especially to the new JTTY mode and to MAP65 and QMAP. Many JTTY QSOs are being made every day now, especially on 14.090 MHz but also via the QO-100 satellite and today, for the first time, via 23 cm EME. The WSJT-X 3.3.0-beta1**release includes many improvements for JTTY mode, with more to come. Beta releases may sometimes have rough edges, but ours have gone through alpha testing already, within our group. They are reasonably stable and have reached a stage where user testing, feedback, and suggestions are needed. If you like using latest features in the WSJT family of programs -- especially JTTY mode, MAP65, and QMAP, along with the old reliable features of WSJT-X -- please download and use this beta release of what will become WSJT-X 3.3.0. -- 73 from the WSJT Development Team Joe, K1JT; Steve, K9AN; John, G4KLA; Brian, N9ADG; Charlie, DL3WDG; Roger, W3SZ; Terrell, KJ5HST; David, KD0BTO; and Yoshi, JP1LRT |
