The WSJT Development Team is pleased to announce WSJT-X 3.0.0, our first General Availability (GA) release since version 2.7.0 in February 2025. The installation packages also include QMAP v0.6 and MAP65 v3.2. Major enhancements are summarized in the Release Notes: https://wsjt.sourceforge.io/Release_Notes.txt. Most of the enhancements will be already familiar to those who have used Release Candidate WSJT-X 3.0.0-rc1. Links for Windows, Linux, and macOS installation packages can be found on these WSJT web pages: https://wsjtx.github.io/wsjtx/downloads.html https://wsjt.sourceforge.io/wsjtx.html. Additional platform-specific installation packages will be posted as soon as they are available. We have moved our development work to a new repository at GitHub, https://github.com/WSJTX/wsjtx . Please let us know if you are interested in contributing to this open source project. A new WSJT Home Page can be found at https://wsjtx.github.io/wsjtx/index.html . At least in the near future, we will continue to maintain web pages and download links at SourceForge: https://wsjt.sourceforge.io/wsjtx.html . Source code for WSJT-X 3.0.0, QMAP 0.6, and MAP65 3.2 can be downloaded from our public repository at https://github.com/WSJTX/wsjtx . This repository includes the full history of the WSJT project back to its open-source origin in December 2005. WSJT-X is licensed under the terms of Version 3 of the GNU General Public License (GPL). Development of this software is a cooperative project to which many amateur radio operators have contributed. If you use our code, please have the courtesy to let us know about it. The authors and Copyright holders of WSJT-X request that derivative works should not publish programs based on features in WSJT-X before those features are made available in a General Availability (GA) release of WSJT-X. We will cease making public Release Candidates if this request is ignored. Feedback and bug reports should be sent to this email list or one of the of the others mentioned here in the User Guide: https://wsjt.sourceforge.io/wsjtx-main_en.html#SUPPORT . We hope you will enjoy using WSJT-X 3.0.0. -- 73 from Joe, K1JT; Steve, K9AN; John, G4KLA; Brian, N9ADG; Charlie, DL3WDG; Roger, W3SZ; and Terrell, KJ5HST |
