That's why we have sonames, yes.

All I'm asking is that you try to get a hamlib release out before
wsjtx uses it if there's any breaking changes. Of course you can still
ship hamlib with wsjtx and include new rigs and other non-breaking
changes.

If releasing hamlib is too hard to be done frequently, that should be
fixed.
