With the recent wspr changes (probably as of r7042) I find that I am now transmitting the hash/6-digit locator messages. I’ve searched the preferences tabs and I don’t find any option to turn this behavior off. I suggest that we make this behavior optional. In my case, my TS_480 is always frequency hopping over at least 4 bands - and sometimes over all HF bands. I may TX only once or twice per hour on any given band. So for my setup, I prefer to always transmit just the standard “type 1” message.
