Hi Leif, I see no problem in just releasing a universal binary for Mac OS X. The only drawback is that it will not run on OS X 10.3 anymore. This Apple web site (http://www.apple.com/universal/) says that you need = at least Mac OS X 10.4.4 for running universal binaries.
