[Wrapper-user] filter doesn't work?

Hi,
  I tried to use the config:
wrapper.filter.trigger.1=java.lang.OutOfMemoryError
wrapper.filter.action.1=RESTART so that when some
error occurs, my application can restart by itself. 

 however, it doesn't seem to work. in my code i wrote
something like throw OutOfMemoryError; but looks like
my application is still running.

Is there something that i am missing here? any hint is
greatly appreicated.
