Thanks everyone for the help. I managed to solve the problem. Turns out it was a path issue! Who'd have thought win2000 services load the system path, but not the user path! Thanks again. =20 =20 Michael Cusack MC...@bu... =20 -----Original Message----- From: wra...@li... I have it running as my current user, and still the same problem. (My user had admin privileges on this machine, and runs the program fine in all other instances.) =20 =20 Michael Cusack MC...@bu... =20 -----Original Message----- From: wra...@li... Subject: RE: [Wrapper-user] console fine-service hangs Looks like COM\DCOM security issues at first glance. When the wrapper is running as a service by default it uses the Local System Account which has restrictions on network resources. Try setting different logon credentials for the service either via the mmc console or the wrapper properties in the conf file: http://wrapper.tanukisoftware.org/doc/english/prop-ntservice-account.htm l http://wrapper.tanukisoftware.org/doc/english/prop-ntservice-password.ht ml Hope it helps, Ori Argov -----Original Message----- From: wra...@li... Here's my problem: I have a java program that among other things accesses com object via Jawin (http://jawinproject.sourceforge.net/). If I run the program either stand alone, or within the wrapper but in the console, everything works perfectly. If I try to run the program as a service, the program hangs the second the jawin classes are accessed. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. =20 Thanks. =20 =20 Michael Cusack MC...@bu... =20 ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: Discover Easy Linux Migration Strategies from IBM.
