You could make your own watchdog-thread inside the JVM you want to know about. This watchdog should tell another JVM on a regular basis: "I am still alive!" If this is not done for some time, the other JVM could then send you an email or do whatever. Both JVM's could even watch each other. Have fun. Onderwerp: [Wrapper-user] send email notification when JVM and/or wrapper goes down i'm looking for a way to get an email notification when the JVM goes down (or can not be invoked) or doesn't receive any CPU for a certain time or anything else happens. is it maybe possible to hook in a commandline-command that is executed on certain events? or maybe an easy way to hook in a class which is called? or maybe there is an easy way to have a second logfile only getting the STATUS messages (which somehow could be piped to mail or something, if i would not have to work on windows servers ;-)) thanks patrick ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: IT Product Guide on ITManagersJournal Use IT products in your business?
