Hi Tom,
I downloaded Java 9+176 and ran the Wrapper (wrapper-windows-x86-64-3.5.32-pro) without any problem.
Please note Java 9+176 is a preview version. The final version will be released later. I'm optimistic that the Wrapper will be compatible with the final version of Java 9.
