Scott, What is the exact OS and Java version that you are using? I have heard a couple reports of similar problems with older 32-bit JVMs on a 64-bit Windows OS, but we have never been able to reproduce it. Hopefully information from you will help with that. Once I hear back from you we will try to reproduce it.
