[Wrapper-user] Trouble connecting with Java app over RMI

We have a Java application that uses RMI to connect to our session façade EJBs (remote interfaces) running in our middle tier on JBoss.

This works fine when we run JBoss on the server via the run.bat  script but does not work when we run as a service using Wrapper. 
Web pages work either way.

Has anyone else seen this? Am I missing a "Java Additional Parameter" ?
