- summary: RUN_AS_USER does no start in script home dir --> RUN_AS_USER does not start in script home dir
If you set up the wrapper.conf to use all path relative
to that script and want to run your java application as
a different user, it does not work. Running
<Script_Name> console works fine, but once you try to
login as root and do a <Script_Name> start, it cannot
find any of the relative paths. It should work because
of the su -m <user> -c exec ..., but is doesn't work
for me in Solaris 8.
I had to add the following to the command before the
exec in the su.
cd `dirname "$REALPATH"`; exec blah
This was the only way I could get it to work. I don't
think the default su in Solairs 8 supports the -m. It
isn't in the man page...
As I said, I'm running Solaris 8, Root's default shell
is sh and it isn't sourcing anything on login. The
user I'm trying to run as default shell is csh.
