No

I have a clean, Win NT4 SP6a machine and when I
attempted to install my application which uses JWS
3.1.2, it fails when it cannot find the SHLWAPI.dll. I
located this dll on an XP machine in
c:\Windows\system32\ and copied it to the
c:\Winnt\system32\ directory and then my application
was able to be installed and run as a windows service.
Is this a documented dependency that I overlooked?

That is the "Shell Light Weight Utility Library"
    http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintaskspro/dlllibrary/shlwapi/

As far as I know, the Wrapper does not directly require it
however, I do not currently have access to an NT system to
test this. Where are you seeing the error? If you run
Wrapper.exe -? do you get an error? Is it an error being
thrown after the JVM is launched?

I know that there are some features which are not supported
in NT simply because the requested system procedures are not
available. I have worked around the ones that I am aware
of. In those cases however you you were told that a
particular function could not be found, not an entire DLL.

You mention that you can not install your application. But
I am not clear exactly where the error is being thrown. As
a guess, try adding the wrapper.debug=true property to the
wrapper.conf file and try running it again. That may give
me more information about where exactly the error is being
    thrown.

    Cheers,
    Leif

For anyone who runs into this in the future, this DLL comes with Internet Explorer 4 and above. NT4 shipped with IE 2.0, so just update to IE >= 4 and you should be fine.
